Jack O. Bender

Jack was born on October 31, 1923 and passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Jack was a resident of Litchfield, New Hampshire at the time of passing. Mr. Bender graduated from South Williamsport High School, serving as the 1941 Class Vice President, and lived most of his life in Loyalsock Township, where he served as a township auditor for many years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran in World War II serving in the South Pacific with the 13th "Jungle" Battalion. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, February 18 at Sanders Mortuary, . A funeral service to honor Jack's life will be held 12 noon Monday, February 19 at Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, . Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy, with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
