Mr. Jack Eric Bush

Mr. Jack Eric Bush, age 61, of Thomaston, died Monday, October 7, 2024, at Taylor County Health and Rehab.
Memorial services for Mr. Bush will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Kandler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 until the service hour.
Mr. Bush was born in Thomaston on December 6, 1962, to James Richard and Joan Colquitt Bush. He was a graduate of Americus High School where he was part of the band that played during the inauguration of President Jimmy Carter. He attended Georgia Southwestern College and later graduated from Columbus College with a degree in Medical Technology. Mr. Bush worked in hospital laboratories in Thomaston, Newnan, LaGrange, Griffin, and Columbus. He enjoyed music, photography, animals, and reading, especially books by Louis L'Amour.
Mr. Bush is survived by his wife, Michelle Bush; his parents, Jim and Joan Bush of Thomaston; a sister, Julie Bush Summerlin of Thomaston; a brother, Mark (Elizabeth) Bush of Gaithersburg, MD; nieces: Victoria Summerlin of Bushnell, FL; Ashley (Dalton) Buxton of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; Abigail (Austin) Alvarez of Trilby, FL; Dixie Summerlin of Bushnell, FL; and Hannah Bush (Austin) Grooms; a nephew, Morgan Bush; and great nephews: Everett James Alvarez of Trilby, FL, and Ridge Matthew Buxton of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; his aunt, Tina Franklin of Dalzell, SC; his uncles, William (Michal) Bush of LaGrange, and Douglas (Bernice) Colquitt, Sr. of Franklinton, NC; his mother-in-law, Marie (Dave) Marler and a sister-in-law, Allison (Charlie) Whitley, both of LaGrange, GA. Numerous cousins and extended family also survive.
