Jack Eric Bush

Jack Eric Bush, age 59, of Houston, Texas, joined our Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 24, 2025, in Laurel, Mississippi.
Eric was born on November 18, 1965, in Houston, Texas, to Jack Murle Bush and Mattie Jenelle Sumrall. He grew up in Texas and spent a few years in Mississippi. In 1988, he met the love of his life, Mary, and they were married on April 23, 1988. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. Eric dedicated 35 plus years of service to SBM Life Science, where he was a hardworking and dependable employee.
Eric was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He was a good provider and a man full of humor and kindness. He loved spending time with his family, doted on his grandchildren, and cherished his siblings and his mother deeply. Eric had a big heart and an even bigger personality he loved making people laugh with his silly jokes and lighthearted comments, always brightening someone's day.
He enjoyed fishing, cycling, good food (especially sweets), and his love for his dog, Khaleesi. He often joked about how handsome he was, and he loved hearing others agree.
Eric spent his final days surrounded by love and care, especially with his devoted sister, Tammie Chandler, in Laurel, Mississippi, who provided him great comfort.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jesse and Virgie Bush, Lloyd and Olean Sumrall; his parents, Jack Murle Bush and Jenelle Sumrall; his brother, Steven Bush; and his beloved wife, Mary Ann Bush.
He is survived by his children: Elizabeth Bush and her husband Matthew, Holly Olszewski and her husband Bobby, James Bush and his wife Ruby, and Zachary Bush and his wife Kathleen. His grandchildren: Layne Staner, Liam Staner, Sawyer Staner, Maverick Ferguson, Maddux Ferguson, Oliver Bush, Bobby Starks Jr., Reese Staner, and Isabella Bush.
His brothers, Jacky Bush and his wife Mindy, and Douglas Bush and wife Dawn; his sisters, Tammie Chandler and her husband Michael, Sherry Stone, Penny Haney and her husband Billy, and Stacy Welch; along with many nieces, nephews.
