My mother worked for Jack at the Chew Den and she always told me what a good man he was to work for. I hope his family opens up their biz out on West 2nd Street again soon. I went there however it looks like it is closed due to Corona. Anyway lets hope they re open soon.

He was a good man, and he ran his restaurants right. That will be a great loss for Roswell. Rest in peace my friend

Jack was a wonderful friend not only to me but everyone that knew him. A US ARMY AIR CORPS Veteran during World War II . A tail gunner on the back of a B 17 shot down and captured by the Germans and kept as a POW. Released when the war ended and had lots of back pay. Started up his own restaruant with Suzie his wife and made his way in the world. Jack will be forever in my heart !

Mr. Chew and his family have contributed so much to our community. Through their restaurant and gift shop and participation in many activities, we have a better place to grow up and live. Who can forget that little motorbike in the Fair parade?
His daughter Glory was a favorite friend of mine. I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Glory and her daughters that Mrs. Chew showed me a couple of years ago.
We miss our parents but know that they have earned an eternal rest and will live on in
our memories.
