So hard to believe that you are gone. You and Marion finally reunite with your Mother and Father and walk hand and hand together suffering no more. Selfishly we hate to let go but we are so glad that you feel no more pain and are able to do the things that your heart always longed for to do. Ive missed the banjo and hearing you sing and that good ole fried okra on Sundays after church at Mama and Papa Cothrans. I remember standing and looking out the window asking Nanny Carolyn at Mamas and Papa Cothrans on holidays if Jack and Marnell were were coming. She always has had the most gentle hands. We miss all of you so much. Jack dont forget all of us down here. We will see you again in another life. You are truely missed. All our love, Ashley Smith, Avery Dobson, Amelia Bree, and MagDaLynne MacKenzie Stephens

Jack was a friend and hiking buddy of ours. I can honestly say he is someone I think about every day, cheerful, articulate, and generally fun to be with.

I was so sorry to see this in the morning newspaper...I am sure there is shouting, singing and laughing at the big reunion now...I remember him being a very fun person just like his Daddy...I pray you have strength, comfort and peace. Cathy Singleton Lee
