God bless you Mr. Curran...may you rest in peace. Always a gentleman. Was at Molloy from '71 to '75. Didn't have the privilege to play for him but did see him lead the Stanners to back-to-back City Championships. Great memories of a great time in life and of a great man.

I spent time working under Jack's tutelage and enjoyed every moment with him - and his visits to Vermont.Molloy has been blessed with 55 years of his devotion and professionalism - and Jack considered himself blessed to be with the staff and students there. All the testimonials attest to his enduring legacy.

Curran Family:
I am a retired basketball coach from Baltimore City College, a boys' high school. In December, 1967, we beat Archbiship Malloy, 76-71, in the finals of a Christmas tournament in Washington. It was a great win for us over an excellently coached team. I was fortunate enough to win close to 700 hundred games and many championships in my carrer. I always recall the win over Malloy as one of the best. Coach Curran was a ledgen in basketball coaching circles and a true gentleman. He will be missed but certainly remembered, justly so. My sympathies from another 83 year old gym rat!! Jerry Phipps

Truly a walking saint above men. He was sensitive to the needs of poor students in his era, not only athletes of his school, but of anyone he came into his life. He does not require beatification by church officals but was beatified in life on earth byhis athletes, students and all with whom Jack had contact.

Coach was like a parent away from home. Always teaching. To this day I use the words Yes and call people Sir because he taught me how to respect myself and others. He also taught me to always pay attention to whatever I was taking part in. I'll never forget him coming up to us during an inning and quizzing us on the count/score/inning. He was always teaching. He will be sorely missed.

I had the great good fortune to play on two of Coach Curran's 17 CHSAA championship baseball teams ('64 and '65). Years later, when I would take my own sons to watch his great basketball teams play in D.C., Coach always had the time to say hello and to offer a kind word. It was an honor to have been one of his boys.

It is comforting to know that Jesus, the Ruler of God's Kingdom, is called the “Prince of Peace,” and he will ensure that “to peace there will be no end.”—Isaiah 9:6, 7.
