Jack Burton Denson, age 88, left our world in Mesquite, Nevada on April 25, 2025. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Grumps, loving brother, and cherished friend to everyone who knew him. He was born on August 31, 1936 in Salisbury, Maryland to Burton Denson and Olive Denson.
His siblings were the late David Denson (Kathy), the late Bruce Denson (Cheryl), and Patty (Robert) Bravata.
Jack graduated from Wicomico High School, and Salisbury State Teacher’s College. After a brief stint with RJ Reynolds Company, he began his lifelong career with Air Products and Chemicals in 1963 until his retirement in 1999.
His career took Jack and Sandy to many beautiful places overseas; Brazil, Thailand, China and Malaysia, and probably some brief stints in other countries that we can’t recall. In between his worldly assignments, he worked with Air Products in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming. The people who came into their lives through their travels kept close contact with them over the years.
Jack was rough and gruff, but Sandra gave him her gift of love, and how to show it. Dad loved his daughters, grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews unconditionally. His unique relationships with each of them will forever be cherished.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Mary Kim (Brent) Bateman, Donna Rae (David) Shearer and his grandchildren, Jack (Robin) Shearer, Christopher Shearer, Zac Bateman, Cody (Lori) Bateman, Bradley (Julie) Bateman, Jessica (Nic) Green, Tiffany (Matt) Windley, his brother-in-law, Dennis (Cindy) Jones, his niece, Sandy (BJ) Jones, his nephew, Aiden Jones, his nieces, Kelly (Raleigh) Sadler, Samantha (BJ) Truitt, and their families, 10 great grandchildren, and his favorite canine, Mandy Sue.
Funeral services in his honor will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 7:00 pm, with a viewing prior to services beginning at 5:00 pm at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wyoming. His interment will be at the Evanston City Cemetery next to his beloved wife, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 3:00.
Jack’s love for his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and lifetime friends is his legacy to those of us left behind. May you rest in peace.
