Jack Edwards Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Mar. 28, 2026.
Jack Richard "Dickie" Edwards, 72, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Born February 22, 1954, in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Herbert and Mabel (Tulip) Edwards.

A proud 1972 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Dickie dedicated 43 years of hard work and loyalty to E.G. Smith, now Centria, before retiring. He was an avid football fan who rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Cleveland Browns or Ohio State. NASCAR Sundays were a staple in his home, and he found joy in boating whenever he could.

Dickie loved the outdoors-whether he was tending to his lawn, planting flowers, or simply enjoying the sunshine, he took pride in making his surroundings beautiful. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with those he loved.

Dickie leaves behind his devoted wife of 54 years, Pamela J. (Marks) Edwards, whom he married on July 1, 1972. He is also survived by their children: Angela (Tony) Sovka, Travis (Anne) Edwards, Bryan (Denise) Edwards, and Jackalyn (Danny Joe) Ivey; his grandchildren: Christopher (Megan) Rowe, Alexis (Reese) Laishley, Abagail (Dustin) Nickel, Allison Edwards, Emilee Owens, Hunter Sovka, Annemarie (Bailey) Venet, Jocelyn Ivey, Ivianna Ivey, Jack Edwards, Nova Edwards, and Jersey Ivey; and his great grandchildren: Sullivan Nickel, Stella Nickel, Remy Laishley, Simon Nickel, Ripkyn Laishley, Rowen Ivey, and Rory Laishley.

He is also survived by his sisters Sandy Smith, Carolyn McClelland, Peggy (Dave) Saft, and Marybeth (Paige) Hammel; his brothers and sisters in law Donnie (Francis) Marks and Marti (Pat) Walters; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Onella.

In addition to his parents, Dickie was preceded in death by his father and mother in law, Byron and Norma Marks; his sister, Barbara Trubisky; and his brother, Jerry Wagner.

Family and friends may gather at Bundy Law Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 4–6 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. In honor of Dickie's lifelong love of football, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite team attire.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Guernsey County Animal Shelter 62824 Bennett Avenue Cambridge, Ohio 43725.

Dickie's online guest book and tribute wall may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com.
