Jack had a great sense of humor with quick funny quips. Back in 1973, I was a rookie with the junkie department-issued Colt. Jack sold me a beautiful nickel-plated S&W Mod. 19 at a very fair price which I used for many years.

One night I responded to an MVA on Morris ave. Lieu stop by to chit chat with me and Dave.Jack use to wear a blue civilian wind breaker , no police written on it and drove his private car when he went out on the road. One of the parties involved in the MVA took exception to this guy walking around with the wind breaker jacket. He came up to me and I don´t like this guy walking around sticking his nose into my accident.I said to him don´t worry he is my lieutenant.
