Jack Alfred Guggisberg, 76, entered into the presence of his savior on Thursday, May 29. Jack was born on March 29, 1949 in Wichita, KS to Floyd and Ruth (Scott) Guggisberg. He graduated from Southeast High School and attended Emporia State University.
On May 27, 1967, he married his high school sweetheart, Marcia Jamison. They shared 58 years of marriage and had four children – Michelle, Kirstin, Todd and Bret.
Primarily Jack and Marcia lived in the Wichita area, but also lived in Indiana, Emporia, Oklahoma and Texas. Jack made a career as a salesman for McKesson Robbins, Huntington Laboratories, Ecolab and Xpedx. Prior to his retirement he was the owner of Kansas Gym Floors and Mid Kansas Maintenance Supply.
A natural born athlete, Jack had a passion for competition, which he passed down to his children and grandchildren.
Jack was raised in a Christian home, but it wasn’t until his early 30’s that he truly came to know the Lord. From that point on, his life was transformed by his steadfast faith and God’s grace.
