Jack E. Hammock, son of the late Lester and Effie (Morgan) Hammock was born on
August 12, 1934. He passed away Sunday at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City,
Tennessee being 90 years one month and three days at the time of his passing. He entered
eternal life peacefully with his wife Pat, daughters Mitzi and Debbie holding his hands.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a caring friend to
all who knew him. He loved laughter and usually was the center of it. He loved and lived for the
game of golf, hitting not one but two holes in one at the age of 89. He was a member of the
First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky, and help dig the foundation for that church. He
was a US Veteran having served in the Navy during the Korean War. A graduate of Lincoln
Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science degree, he had numerous occupations
throughout his life, certainly considered not only a Jack of all trades but a Master of many.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hammock of Whitesburg, Kentucky, stepdaughter
Adrian Fields Conn (Daniel) of Rutledge, Tennessee. Two daughters Debbie Hammock Frazier
(Gaither) of Bridgeport, West Virginia and Mitzi Hammock Kincer (Stephen) of Whitesburg,
Kentucky. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren Sarah (Ryan) Mayse, Jay Frazier, Michael (Lauren)
Frazier, Destin (Forrest) Smith, Lisa (Todd) Fleming, Dylan Kincer, Christopher Frazier, Kenzie
(Kaleb) Trent, and Dalton Conn (Kaley). Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren, Kylen, Jaxon,
Mia, Velle, Carter, Gunnar, Shipley, Karsyn, Carmen, Kimber and Kent. Also many loving nieces
and nephews will mourn his passing. And, it can't go without saying his favorite and loyal
companion, his dog Chippy.
He was proceeded in death by his two children Sarah Lisa Hammock, J. Roy Hammock
and first wife Sarah Frances (Sammie) Hammock. Also his loving brother Don L Hammock and
precious sister Ella Kaye Collins.
