Jack is survived by his wife, Karla of New Ulm; his children Rebecca, Michelle, Henry, and Yvonne; grandchildren; sisters Deborah (Tod) Lohman and Wendy Domeier; several uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Richard Havemeier; two infant sisters; his maternal grandparents, Alice and Floyd Munce; and his paternal grandparents Alma and Albert Havemeier.

Jack Danial Havemeier was born September 4, 1965, in New Ulm to Richard and JoAnne (Munce) Havemeier. He grew up in New Ulm and Karlstad, Minnesota. He enlisted in the United States Army and was a proud part of the military police corps.

After his military service, Jack spent several years on the road with his father buying and selling cattle. He then married Mary, and they were blessed with two daughters, Rebecca and Michelle. He purchased a ranch in Roseau, Minnesota where he raised cattle and worked as a gambling manager/bar manager for the Roseau Eagles. In 1997 he moved back to New Ulm and in 1998 married Karla (Knott) Havemeier and they were blessed with children, Henry and Yvonne. He was a truck driver and then he and Karla started the CPA firm of Karla Havemeier, Ltd. Jack also spent many years as gambling manager for the New Ulm Optimist Club. Jack owned and operated Havemeier Excavating. He was active his entire life doing a lot of physical work and activity including excavating, construction, and landscaping. Jack's favorite pastime was working!

When he wasn't working, Jack enjoyed spending time at the cabin with loved ones. He and Karla traveled especially enjoying Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Savannah. Their favorite spot was the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota where they hoped to spend a lot of time in their retirement years. Jack loved snowmobiling, jet skiing, pontooning, shooting, golf cart rides, country music, working out and spending time with his German Shepherd, Rocky. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his contagious smile and laughter, sense of humor, willingness to help others, his strength and love for God, Country, and Family. There are no words to describe the loss and pain we are feeling. Jack will be sadly missed.
