Jack Housley Obituary

Jack Housley, 78, of Lenoir City, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on September 18, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Betty Housley, and his sister, Jan Davis. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Janie; sons: Jack Jr. (Tisha), Bill (Kelley), Wesley (Melissa), and Darren (Emilie); ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Joey (Donna); sister, Judy Stinnett (Buzz); and many nieces, nephews, and other dear friends.

Called to missions in 1973, Jack and Janie served 39 years in Papua New Guinea with Ethnos 360, formally New Tribes Mission. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith in Christ, his love for family, and the joy he found in God's creation-whether camping, fishing, or traveling life's road alongside Janie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 17, 2025 at Friendsville First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Ramu Valley Academy at ethnos360.org/projects/ramu-valley-academy.
