Jack Jensen Obituary

Jack C. Jensen, known affectionately as UJ by his nieces and nephews, Big Jack by friends and co-workers and best of all Papa, as named by his grandson, departed this world for his Heavenly home on November 3, 2025. Born on February 17, 1947, in Milwaukee, during the winter of the infamous Big Snowstorm, neighbors had to lift his father's car over a snow bank to facilitate his mom's journey to the hospital. Jack's journey came full circle as he passed away surrounded by the love and prayers of his family in the very same city that had welcomed him into the world.
Jack was a beacon of light to his family, the cherished husband of Carol L. Jensen. Their love story spanned five decades, a testament to their devotion and the laughter that infused their marriage. Jack was a proud father to his sons, Kirk Evan Jensen and Erik Christian Jensen, who inherited his quick wit and kind spirit. His love extended to his daughter-in-law, Nicole Christine Jensen, nee Baker, and his adored grandchildren, Logan Patrick, Scarlett Olivia, and Noelle Faith, who were the apples of his eye.
A graduate of Nicolet High School and attended Milwaukee Technical College, Jack was a lifelong learner who brought his enthusiasm to each endeavor. His career at Strattec Securities Corporation was marked by dedication and a knack for precision and innovation, leading to a well-earned retirement that allowed him more time for his passions. Jack's leadership and commitment were exemplified in his active engagement with the Boy Scouts of America. As a Webelos Leader, Boy Scout Leader and a member of the Order of the Arrow, he guided many young men on the path of integrity and service. His Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his actions and interactions with all he met.
Jack's interests were as varied as they were spirited. An avid fan of model railroading and building models, he was fondly regarded as the family's go-to repairman. His T-Shirt, a gift from his grands said it all, "If Papa can't fix it, no one can!" This brought smiles and nods of agreement from those who knew his prowess with tools. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of fishing, boating, and camping - activities that provided countless stories for Jack to share with his signature humor.
Loving, kind, and undeniably funny, Jack had a way of making everyone feel at ease with his playful jests and heartwarming chuckles. His comedic timing and jovial spirit were rare gifts that he happily shared with the world. It brings to mind the words of the great Bob Hope, "I've always been in the right place and time. Of course, I steered myself there." Jack, too, seemed to steer himself into the hearts of those he met, always finding the right place and time to leave a lasting impression.
Jack's life was a beautifully written chapter in the book of life, bringing joy and love to the pages of all who knew him. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the laughter he sparked will continue to resonate within the lives of his family and friends.
As we bid farewell to Jack, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His legacy will continue to inspire and comfort us as we hold him close in our hearts until we meet again. Goodbye for now, dear Jack, until that glorious day when we shall laugh together once more at the grandest of heavenly banquets. Love you Always and Forever!
