Jack Lyle Kipp, age 87 of Rockford, formerly of Carson City passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at his home. He was born May 20, 1936, in Forest Hill, MI the son of Walter and Marie (Morrow) Kipp. Jack proudly served his county in the United States Army. He married Margaret Barnes on November 9, 1957. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage, until her passing in January 2012. Together they raised four children: Pam (Marty), Janice, Doug (Marie), and Tim.
Jack retired from the State of Michigan in 1991. He was a member of the Carson City Congregational Church, the American Legion, and the Carson City Masonic Lodge.
Jack had many hobbies including farming, golfing, camping, and flying his plane. For many years Jack, Margaret, and the kids celebrated Father's Day by taking motorcycle trips as a family.
Animals were a big part of Jacks life. Most recently his dog Annie who was never too far away from him.
During his retirement, Jack discovered his talent of wood carvings, making each member of the family their own carving to cherish. Jack was even featured on a local news station to display his talent.
Jack is survived by his wife Nina whom he married on June 19, 2013. It was apparent how much joy Nina brought to Jacks life. They enjoyed ten wonderful years of marriage cruising and making lasting memories.
