Jack Ernest Lowe

Jack Ernest Lowe beloved father and grandfather passed away September 26, 2022, peacefully in his home with his family. He was 83 years old. Jack was born to Fred and Velora "Sis" Lowe, February 26, 1939, in Knoxville, TN. He graduated from Knox Central High School in 1957. Jack was a dedicated worker and retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation after dedicating over 40 years of service. He additional served in the Tennessee Army National Guard and retired with 31 plus years of service with the 278th ACR. He was a devoted father to two sons and two daughters and "Granddad" to 8 grandchildren. Jack was a life-long UT athletics fan that followed the Lady Vols all over the country. He was a passionate runner and travelled the roads endlessly collecting postal stamps from all over the US. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Josephine Maire Lowe; his brother Fred and Jane Lowe, four children and eight grandchildren. Jack and Tina Lowe, James Lowe, Julia and Albert Wamack, and Jody and Tony Skole. Grandchildren: Emily and Sarah Lowe, Hunter, Cooper, Bailey Wamack, and Tilo, Jack and Gehrig Skole. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, October 3, 2022, at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway (1421 N. Broadway, Knoxville). Family and friends will gather at 9:45 am Tuesday October 4, 2022, at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville) for a 10:00 am Commemoration Service. In lieu of flowers, please surprise a family member and take them out to dinner or a movie. Give lots of hugs and tell them that you love them.
