Jack Arthur Matson, born November 3, 1942, in Palo Alto, California, passed into Glory on September 5, 2025. He was the son of Joseph and Thelma (Lameroux) Matson and a graduate of Palo Alto High School.

On February 2, 1963, Jack married the love of his life, Carol Ann Woods, and together they built a life full of love, family, and adventure. He worked as a skilled machinist and retired from Krebbs Engineering after many years of dedicated service.

Jack accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1972, and his faith remained deep and unwavering throughout his life. In 2020, Jack and Carol moved to Nashville, Michigan from Tucson, Arizona to be closer to family. A true handyman at heart, Jack loved fixing anything that wasn't working. He had a passion for gardening, gourmet food, and living life with curiosity and determination. In his younger years, he was an avid runner, completing marathons and even crossing the Golden Gate Bridge on foot-twice.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 61 years, Carol; son Richard Matson; daughter Kari Alameda; grandchildren Britney, Wesley, Shaelyne, Nicole, and Bradley; numerous great-grandchildren; his brother Ray; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Jack's wishes, no formal service will be held. His life will be remembered privately by those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, consider a contribution towards Jack's funeral expenses: https://square.link/u/5AUysgcU
