Please visit the guest book archive here. McABEE, JACK RAY – age 63, of Rutledge, passed away 9:20 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at UT Medical Center. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the Vietnam War. Survivors: daughter, Lisa Madden of Knoxville; sons, Jack McAbee of Rutledge, Bryan and Joe McAbee both of Cincinnati, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; sisters, Brenda (Tom) Noel and Sheila (Gary) Ford both of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in Stevens Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Tony Richie officiating. The family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Friday at New Gray Cemetery for a graveside service and interment at 11:00 a.m. Full military honors will be performed by East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard. Kay and Shelia, I was so shocked to read of Jack's passing. I am so sorry. He was still at a young age. I often wondered where Jack was now. He was alway's such a handsome boy. Haven't seen him since the early sixty's.... Will be praying for your family.... Carolyn Romines
