Jack E. Netzley

Jack E. Netzley Aug. 15, 1930 — Aug. 22, 2009 Jack E. Netzley, 79, Marion, died at 2:07 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in his residence. Jack was born in Marion, Ind., to Paul and Evelyn (Hesser) Netzley, and they preceded him in death. He married Helen C. (Harrell) on Oct. 25, 1964, and she survives. Jack had been employed by Glasser Electric, Dana, and retired in 1998 after 35 years as a tool and die maker at General Motors. Jack served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was an avid train collector, enjoyed photography, working on his computer, gardening and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Helen; daughters, Michelle (John) Griffin, Fairmount, and Kelly Netzley, Indianapolis; sisters, Bonnie Guy, Marion, and Mary Catherine Caudill, Marion; and grandchildren, Christopher Kelly, Fairmount, and Graig Hazelett, Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Charles, Raymond and Paul; and sisters, Betty, Martha and Pauline. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion. Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
