Jack Karl Pinkerton

Jack Karl Pinkerton, 89, passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Kindred Place in Harrisburg after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 6, 1936, to Ralph and Pearl (Stuppy) Pinkerton in Lykens, Pennsylvania. In 1955, Jack graduated from Lykens High School, lettering in football and basketball. Jack served 4 years in the United States Navy. He worked for American Can Company and completed his working career at Giant Food Stores. Jack earned a reputation for being reliable, steady, honest, and a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior-character traits passed down to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who lovingly knew him as Pappy. Jack's favorite pastime was spent hunting, chopping wood, and taking care of their hunting camp. Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Roberta (Weidel), brother, Gerald Pinkerton and wife, Linda, daughter, Debra (Kevin) and their children Alex and Elaine and son, Scott Pinkerton (Gena) and his children Tyler, Kylie and Kelsey and his three great grandchildren, Charleigh, Carter and Bennett. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Pearl Pinkerton, and 7 brothers and sisters-William, Ralph Jr, Lee, Harry, June Yuslum, Margie Plesce and Norma Markle. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 8, 2025, at 1 P.M. at Grace Point Evangelical Free Church. Visitation from 12-1 P.M.
Burial with full military honors will be held on December 9, 2025 at 2 P.M. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to their home church, Grace Point Evangelical Free Church.
