Surrounded by loved ones the last weeks of his life, Jack Huarde Robinson passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025 in Elk Grove, California

He was born November 3, 1949 in Boone County, West Virginia to Huarde and Doris Estepp Robinson.

On February 6, 1971, he married Cassie Jones(now Adams) in Carmichael, California. Together they had 3 children: daughter, Cassandra Stimpson(Shawn), and twin sons, Arthur & Jessie(deceased)(Kristy), as well as 6 grandchildren: Chandra(Hollie), Chase, Tanner(Stephanee), & Tyson Stimpson, Summer Robinson, John Field-Robinson, as well as 1 great granddaughter Stazia Stimpson, and Freyja Stimpson due in August.

During his family life in Rancho Cordova & Loomis, Jack was known to be the neighborhood fix it man. He would fix the bikes for the kids in the neighborhood, and he was always happy to help volunteer at his children’s baseball practices. The family then and now loved when he would cook! He was famous for his big, juicy hamburgers, beef stroganoff, Hamburger Helper Mac & Cheese with a slice of buttered toast, corn fritters, tacos and his longtime favorite, Spaghetti!!!!!!

In his earlier years, Jack ran cross country for Cordova High School. He worked at Cordova Lanes bowling alley, various chef jobs including the Carmichael Elks Lodge, Sheepherders in Rancho Cordova, & Rudy’s Hideaway. Jack also worked at the Department of Transportation and Narda, making computer chip parts. He later had his own Yard and Maintenance business called J.R.’s Gardening. He moved to Reno with his daughter’s family for a short time and ran the SubWorks sandwich shop inside the Reno AM/PM.

Jack moved back to California and married Irene Santos in 1998, then parted ways a few years later.

He moved to Elk Grove to help his sister Kathy care for their mother and brother Tom. Jack remained in the family home with surviving family members, his sister, his best friend Kathy, her daughters: Holly (Justin), Margaret (Cano), and Zoey, until the time of his passing. Kathy's other children and grandchildren not living in the home are: Heather, Kaylee, Logan, Donald, Jessica, and Isla who visited often; and Heidi, Katheryn, Natalie, Lilly who live in another state.

Jack had many hobbies and loved to tinker around in the barn. He was talented in his small woodworking, making family & friends special Christmas crafts, key and napkin holders, and so much more! He would spend hours carefully choosing specific pebbles to glue on to castles that he built. He loved to go camping and fishing, listening to music, collecting armored knights, anything Native American Indian, and cooking and gardening. He found Peace in Nature collecting the pecan nuts off trees, sitting and taking the shells off them and throwing some here and there for the birds! He was very patient and also loved to peel pomegranates!

Jack loved spending time with his family, going out for a meal, or catching a good movie.

There was not a day that would go by that you would not see him with popcorn and a Pepsi; and if you were around him enough, you would see his insane skill of shooting a rubber band across the room to kill a fly, almost never missing his target, and.... he was blind in one eye! He had a very special love and connection with animals that made them feel completely safe and want to be around him, Jack was an animal whisperer! He will be very much missed by his best friend pets, cats: Sara, Greyson, Harry, Elvira & Oreo, and dogs Sandy & Nadja.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents-Huarde Robinson and Doris Midgley, his stepfather-Walt Midgley, son-Jessie Robinson, brother-Tom Midgley, and brother-David Dallas Midgley.

Other surviving family: brother-Richard(Teresa) Robinson, niece-Cheri, sister-Sheila(Steve) White, nephew-Matthew, brother-Ronnie (Lori Stout), nephews-Sean & Justin, nieces-Kristin, Amber, Taylor, Alicia, and Kelsey, nephew-Justin and niece-Melissa Dallas.

We were all Blessed to have Jack in our lives. His jovial spirit was infectious. He lived a very simple, humble life. He was kind, funny, goofy, loving, honest, and would give you the shirt off his back. He was very proud to be Native American Indian, Cherokee. He had so many wonderful family & friends throughout his life, and a few he has had for many years. He fought very hard in the end, but it was time for God to bring him home. He was a good man, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Jack's moto was: "I'm tiny, but I'm mighty like a Tonka Truck."

Well done Brave Warrior, Well done!!!!!!!
