I was on temporary assignment from the typing pool. (1972 or so) Jack was my supervisor. He was a gentlemen, a leader, friendly, giving of his time; all with a great sense of humor. I felt like part of a family. I was with the group briefly, but he was the supervisor I remember and respected the most. A really nice man. A full life who touched many.

Jack was the man I worked for when I started with Con Ed upon my discharge from the Army in 1962. He was a thorough gentleman respected by all who met him. He always looked out for his people. Rest in peace my friend.

Jack was my manager, when two years after graduating with an engineering degree, I transferred to Transmission Construction in Con Edison. I ended up working 42 years for the company and can say without hesitation that he was the best "boss" I ever worked for. Under his helm I was fortunate to help build some of the most complex and critical transmission lines, vitally needed to support New York City´s power grid. The lines we built crossed rivers, Long Island Sound, and snaked under the incredibly crowded streets of NYC. Jack was a leader who remained calm, even through the inevitable crises that arise on all large construction projects. Yes, he was an exceptional leader, but more importantly, he was an exceptional man.
We kept in touch by email periodically after he was forced to retire by his accident. I hadn´t seen him in over 30 years, but stopped by his home a year ago on my drive down to Florida. We had a wonderful time sharing stories and old photos over turkey sandwiches. I am so happy that I got to see him again and although his body was failing him somewhat, his mind and memory were as sharp as ever. He talked a lot about his family and mentioned that a granddaughter was interviewing him about his life and career. It will be quite a large book when she is finished!
Please accept my deepest condolences and Jack will be in my prayers.

I met Jack at the Coves where we lived. He always had a big smile and friendly hello on his lips. He was a gentleman and friends to everyone.
He will be missed and his little great grandchildren that we got to see when they visited. Rest in Peace, Jack.
