I just stumbled upon this and thought I would send another thought about Jack. I'll always treasure the time we got to work together and the songs we wrote and recorded. I learned a lot. I laughed a lot. And I'll miss you a lot, Jack. Forever. All my best to Anne, Robin, and Sarah.

The fondest memory I have of Jack is waking up each morning to the “song of the day” followed by the rhythmic metronome of guitar practice for hours. I still miss that. Jack and I were a poor, young, and crazy couple living together in the mid-70’s for 8 years in Santa Monica, enduring the struggles of the LA music scene. I worked, he played.

I was funkatized by Jack in 1975. I’ve never looked back since then.

During that time, Jack’s life was filled with musicians, bands and sessions - Search, Ed Ford Summerfield, Phil Lee, Andy and the Rattlesnakes, Gail Warning, Michael Johnson, Bert Sommer, Bayete, Tony Thompson, Vodid, Toni & the Movers, Toni Childs, Mickey Steele, Bob Dylan, Dee Murray, and Glenn Cornick, etc.

My favorite of Jack’s guitars was his 1968 cherry red 335, with dot inlay. She was beautiful and had the sweetest sound of all his guitars. Jack had to sell her because we had no money. I remember crying my eyes out, all day, when that happened.

What a brilliant talent – an ingenious guitarist!

I got a chance to get to know Jack in Savannah. He was part of the movie community at the Sentient Bean. Jack had a reserved spot and I would often sit next to him as we watched strange and unusual films. Jack was a fixture at the Psychotronic Film society and will be missed by all of us.

Godspeed Jack, and thank you for sharing a part of your life with us, and the music memories.
