It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jack Richard Thomas on June 5, 2023. Jack was born on June 28, 1935, in Seminole, Oklahoma, and spent 87 remarkable years on this earth, touching the lives of those around him with his creativity, humor, intelligence, and love.
Jack was a successful entrepreneur, working as a contractor, real estate broker, and restaurant owner throughout his life. He was a man who believed in the importance of hard work and perseverance, and his tenacity was evident not only in his career but also in his personal life. Jack was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His remarkable woodworking skills were a testament to his creativity, and he found great joy in crafting beautiful pieces for his loved ones. Jack's love for his dogs, Susie, Lucky, and Charlie Brown, was also well known among friends and family. As the famous painter Bob Ross once said, "Talent is a pursued interest. Anything that you're willing to practice, you can do." Jack's life was a true testament to this, as he pursued his passions with dedication and love.
Jack is survived by his spouse Sally Tierney-Thomas; his sons James (Marie) Thomas and Jeffery (Gayle) Thomas; his daughter Sherri (Patrick) O'Driscoll, his brother Russ Thomas; his grandchildren Jacob (Julie) Thomas, Jenna Martin, Tim (Michelle) Thomas, Jami Vierra, and Jeremy (Ashley) Vierra; and his great-grandchildren Elijah, Delilah, Cooper, Parker, Rylie, Logan, Kennedy, Chevelle, and Paisley. Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Thomas; father, Fain Thomas; former spouses Shirley Lawrence and Carol Thomas; and brother, Bob Thomas.
We invite you to share your memories and photos of Jack on the memorial page, as we celebrate the life of a truly extraordinary man, who brought joy, laughter, and love to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
