Jackey Lee (Sinders) Ritenour, 73, of Plymouth passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2025, at Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth.

Jackey was born on June 12, 1952, in South Bend to the late Dale and Alta (Varvel) Sinders. Jackey was born and raised in Lakeville, IN and attended Lakeville Elementary and LaVille High School and graduated in the class of 1970.

On June 26, 1970, she married Steven Ritenour, sharing fifty years of marriage before his passing in 2020.

Jackey worked in the local school systems at LaVille Elementary being a teacher's aide and cafeteria aide. She also worked at Riverside Elementary in Plymouth where she found her calling working with the special needs students which led her to the Argos School system where she served as a teacher's aide for more than twenty years, retiring in 2018. Jackey was a hard worker and most of those years she held 2 jobs. Her other job was a caregiver to various elderly individuals in the Marshall county area.

Jackey was also a Die Hard Cubs fan and never missed a game unless the cable was out or they decided to put it on a channel she couldn't get. Boy, she was not happy about those times. She was also a fan of Notre Dame Football, as well as a Green Bay Packers fan.

Jackey is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Bill) Snyder of Plymouth and her grandchildren; Katie Keyser (Zach Fisher) and Zack Keyser as well as her brother, Dale (Joyce) Sinders Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Steve, her parents Dale and Alta Mae, and sister Kim Bliss.

A celebration of life for Jackey will be held at a later date. She and Steven will be interred at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty.
