Jackie "Jack" Dean Jennings, 92 of Kansas City, Kansas died Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at The University of Kansas Hospital. He was the son of James Duff and Leone (Brookshire) Jennings born on June 15, 1933 in Browning, Missouri. He had two marriages, with three sons. Then met Helen M. (White) Duprey and one son and two daughters were born. He verbally adopted her son, Walter B. Sands. Some time past and the relationship ended. In his 50's Jack met his final soul mate, Betty Ingram. The couple adopted a granddaughter, Hope A. M. Jennings and raised her well.

Jackie, commonly referred to as "Action Jack" grew up in Milan, and at 19 years old the family moved to the Kansas City, MO area. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in January of 1952 where he faithfully served until being honorably discharged. He was true to the phrase "Jack of all trades". He farmed, could sell anything, and if need be, convince you to buy all the items. He drove with Yellow Cab, was a handy-man, painter, collection manager, auctioneer, fry cook, business owner of a repossession company and a driver.

He was a stranger to no one. You could find him watching Westerns and The Wheel of Fortune or simply sitting on his front porch drinking coffee with his wife, Betty, that is when he wasn't playing with his cats or people watching with his step-daughter, Tuddy who lives next door. He was a family man and enjoyed visits from his daughter, Diana who always came with generous gestures. Jack looked forward to visits with Hope, her significant other Joey, and their children.

Jack is preceded by his parents; son, Barry L. Jennings; grandsons: Barry L. Jennings Jr., Joseph L. Jennings, Brian Tober, Matthew J. D. Jennings; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Charles Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and David Ambrose; Jack Hoover; brother-in-law, Jack Betsworth; niece, Tammy Stepp.

He is survived and will be missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Betty; two daughters, Diana L. Tilton and Shelia Burton; step daughters: Donna Collins, Dawn (Tuddy) Worthey, Debbie Nolan, Charlene Renfro, and Beverly Burns; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie S. Betsworth, and many nieces and nephews.
