Jackie Carroll Smith, 60, of Seagrove, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at his home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Asheboro, with Pastor Kenneth McNeill and Pastor Jeff Norton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Montgomery Co., NC, Mr. Smith was born January 21, 1965. Jackie was a simple, hard working, devoted and loving husband and father. He was a true family man. All that he cared about was family. Every Sunday was "family day." One of the funniest men you would ever meet, Jackie loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed athletics and participated in sports in his youth. He was very patriotic, loved bass fishing, a huge Ford man, and was good at anything he tried to do. He also enjoyed spending well deserved time on his recliner.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Jackson Smith, and his sister, Sandra Smith Lowe.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Wanda Smith, of the home; daughters, Megan Smith Speedling, Natalie Smith (Zachary Sprouse), all of Seagrove; mother, Edna Albright Smith of Seagrove; sister, Janice Cranford (Robert) of New Bern; brother, Wallace "Wally" Jackson Smith, Jr., of Seagrove; grandson, Gavin Jackie Speedling; and "man's best friend" Benji.,
The Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Asheboro.
