Jackie Waldram Obituary

Our sweet and loving mother Jackie joined our dad, Dean Waldram, in eternal life on June 13th with family and loving caregivers at her side.
Born March 16, 1936, in Caldwell, Idaho, to William and Myrtle Denney, she was the youngest of four siblings: Gene, Ray and Shirley. Raised on a sugar beet farm in Caldwell, she spent her childhood years exploring Canyon County where she discovered her passion for animals, especially horses.
Jackie graduated from Caldwell High School and later from the nursing program at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise. It was during nursing school that she met our Dad through her schoolmate Sylvia. With their life-long best friends and cohorts, Richard and Sylvia Marker, they spent decades together raising their families and sharing adventures.
Growing up, Mom was always there for us kids, making sure that we had everything that we needed. Selfless to her core, she poured her heart into her family, always planning the next birthday celebration, holiday gathering or camping trip. Gift-giving was her love-language. She had a unique ability to find the perfect gift for everyone.
She had a special way about her. With her charming, funny, and infectious nature, she made everyone feel so special. She was always there to lend a hand, no matter the need.
Jackie made long-time friends while working as an RN at Boise Minor Emergency Center during its 30-year run, frequently gathering with her BMEC friends even after its closing.
Our parents had been long-standing members of Red Rock Christian Church in Boise where they attended with her nephew Jerald Denney and his family. They made many friends there while attending and volunteering for church events.
In her final years, she was cared for by the exceptional and loving staff at The Bridge at Valley View, where she found her way into their hearts and was affectionately nicknamed "Jackie-June-Bug." We are also grateful for the companionate and kind staff at Keystone Hospice.
Our hearts are warmed by the thought that she is walking free with Dad and their sweet dog Glory, as well as all her loved ones that left before her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dean, parents William and Myrtle Denney, and siblings Gene Denney, Ray Denney and his wife Verda, and Shirley Iverson.
Survivors include her 4 children: Teresa McDonald, Shelly (Jay) Hawkins, Mark Waldram, and Tracey (Greg) Greenlee. Her 11 grandchildren: Mari Holm (James), Nick McDonald (Stacie), Blake McDonald (Liberty), Cameron Bergquist, Madison Gates, Deni Hawkins, Tim Hawkins, Scott Waldram (Kristina), Hannah Greenlee, Gibson Greenlee (Emma) and Lucas Greenlee (Abby). Her 7 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Liam, Banks, Decklin, Xander, Malakai and Hopper. Her in-laws: John and Clarine Hastriter, Edna Waldram, and Kris Waldram. Her nieces and nephews: Jerald and Hope Denney, Steven and Marlena Iverson, Michael and Sharon Iverson, Debbie and Sam Siam, Christian Iverson and Genie Turner, and best friends Sylvia and Richard Marker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Event Center, Boise, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Idaho Humane Society in Jackie's memory, honoring her love for animals.
