Jacklyn Persaud Obituary
Jacklyn Ann Persaud (nee James) passed away Friday evening, May 31, 2024 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ following a brief illness. She was 63.
Born in Supenaam Essequibo, Guyana, Jacklyn immigrated to the United States in 1997. She had lived in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany before moving to Hopatcong five years ago.
Mrs. Persaud was a dietary aide with the Care One at Morris Assisted Living in Parsippany for many years before her retirement.
Jacklyn was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joanne Persaud and a brother, Earl James.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Ramroop Persaud; three beloved children, Joel Persaud and his wife, Jennifer Jacobs of Hopatcong, NJ, Tiffany Daly and her husband, Joshua Daly of Dover, NJ, and Jillian Singh and her husband, Tyrone Singh of Hopatcong, NJ; four dear brothers, Dudley James, Colin James, Ringo James, and Rex Craigan, all of Guyana; and her five cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Greyson, Jayden, Trystan, and Joanna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitations on Thursday evening, June 6, 2024, 6:00pm - 9:00pm and Friday morning, June 7, 2024 10:00am - 11:00am at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha (Parsippany), NJ. The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
For those so desiring, in lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://stjude.org) in Jacklyn's memory.
