Jack hired me because one day while he waited for his wife 'Polly' to have some dental work done - i took him a cup of coffee.

He came back and hired me and said that he never forgot an act of kindness.

I worked in his house, office and the terraced gardens that he wanted to be beautiful for his wife.

One cold day he called me and said he had been out on the ranch add was cold and tired and asked me to come and have lunch with him.

He cooked chipped beef on toast for lunch. And instead of turning the heat on in the house he just put two chairs next to the open oven door to keep us warm while we ate and talked.

He liked to tell stories so he told me a story about how much bread cost in the year i was born and how early in life he ate off the back of a buckboard!

A colorful character and a kind man.

I resently bought the warrant of authority appointing Jack B. Love to the post of Rexas Ranger.

I would like to see it back in the hands of one of his children or grandchildren if any are interested
