Junior Jackson Wolfe, age 77, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at his home in Marion, VA .
Junior was born in Marion, Virginia to the late Curtis and Mabel Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend, Linda Wolfe, and his brother, Rick Wolfe.
He is survived by his; sons, Jason Wolfe and wife Lisa of Colorado Springs, CO, and Brett Wolfe and wife Becky of Bristol, VA; sister, Patricia Wolfe Absher of Moseley, VA step-daughter, Stephanie Hoffman and husband David of Marion; step-son, Jeff Austin of Marion and special friend Jaclyn Goff of Abingdon; and step-daughter, Amy Austin of Payette, Idaho; sister-in-law, Sherri Wolfe.
Junior was a proud grandfather to Riley Blevins of Marion, Ben Powell of Marion, Fitzjackson Wolfe of Blacksburg, VA, and Kelsey Powell of Marion; and a great-grandfather to Aubrey Powell, Dexter Mabe, Devy Powell, Sunny Powell, and Tommy Powell. He also leaves behind his faithful furry companion and lap dog, Max.
A 1966 graduate of Marion Senior High School, Junior played football at Lees-McRae College before completing his education at Emory & Henry College. He served as a former president of the Smyth County Chamber of Commerce and devoted many decades to coaching youth sports. His passion for athletics and mentorship touched countless lives through his years coaching recreation league, little league, travel teams, and high school baseball. Junior also served as a player-coach for the legendary Hungry Mother Softball Team and was a multi-year volunteer for The Salvation Army Kettle Drive.
He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, kindness to all, generosity, selflessness, and unwavering support of MSHS athletics In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Marion Senior High School Athletic Department 848 Stage Street Marion, VA 24354.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00PM - 3:00PM with a memorial service to follow at Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion, VA, with Mark Hoffman officiating. Services will also be live-streamed via Bradley's Funeral Home Facebook. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home is serving the Wolfe family.
