Jaclyn graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in the Class of 1998, where she was known for her commitment and determination as a member of the cross country team. Her adventurous spirit later led her to join the United States Marine Corps at the young age of 17, where she showed immense promise but was unable to complete basic training due to a medical condition. This experience instilled in her a sense of discipline and resilience that would pervade her life.
A talented artist, Jaclyn poured her heart into crafting, scrapbooking, and painting. Creating colorful murals that showcased her creativity. Her artistic flair was matched only by her love for animals, especially her many dogs, with her Great Danes holding a special place in her heart. Jaclyn found joy in watching scary movies or indulging in binge-watching TV series such as "X-Files," "Friends," and "Scooby Doo." She also had an eclectic taste in music, enjoying genres that spanned from hard rock to country to rap and hip-hop, illustrating her diverse interests and wide-ranging passions.
Jaclyn is survived by her cherished daughters, Sophia Bella Bowlby of Ringoes, NJ, and Lucia Bella Monticchio of Flemington, NJ. She is also remembered by her mother and step-father, Jean and Kevin Erwin of Flemington, NJ; her sisters Kimberly and Michael Leguitan of Acworth, GA, and Erica and Wesley Smith of Easton, PA. Additionally, her loyal companion, Bunny remains a testament to her love for her furry friends.
Jaclyn will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and her memory will live on through the vibrant colors she painted into the lives of those around her. Her spirit of creativity and love will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth J. Monticchio, in 2011, and her cousin, Kellie M. Cornelison, in 2025, as well as many beloved canine companions, including "Brutus," "Roman," and "Jaws."
