Jacob Nathaniel Adams

Jacob Nathaniel Adams, age 62, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home on January 18, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Jacob was born in Rotterdam, Guyana, to Thomas Adams (predeceased) and Hyacinth Adams. He attended Friends Primary School and New Amsterdam Secondary School. He went on to work with GuySuCo and Hand in Hand Insurance Company in Guyana.
In August 1995, Jacob married Amrita Adams (Sharma). Together they were blessed with one son, Esan Adams. In 2010, Jacob migrated to the United States of America, where he made his home in Hartford, Connecticut.
Jacob was the beloved brother of Joan Adams; Kenrick Adams (Marva Adams); Wendy Adams; Colin Adams (Jessika Adams); Beverly Adams; Wray Adams (Donna Adams); Okola Thomas (Graham Thomas); and Royden Gilead (Holly-Ann Gilead). He was predeceased by his siblings Dennis Adams, Irene Adams, Paul Adams, and Maxwell Adams.
He was a cherished uncle to Michael, Rodlyn, Alston, Alicia, Akeem, Jason, Jaden, Chayenne and many others; and a proud great-uncle to Whitney, Delon, Andrew, Jamal, Nello and many more. He was also the great-nephew-in-law of Vijay Jagpaul; brother-in-law of Geeta Vengersammy; and uncle-in-law to Navita, Shivani, Nirvani, Kimberly, and Phillip. Jacob was the nephew of the late Hilda and Emily, and cousin to Ulric, Stace, and many others.
Jacob was a dear friend to Victor Segobin, John and Carmel Austin, Audrey Nelson and was loved by the entire South Hartford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
An avid fan of cricket, Jacob's greatest joy, however, was serving his Creator, Jehovah. He dedicated his life to God in August 1982 and remained faithful in his service until his death. He was a truly wonderful example of a husband, father, son, sibling, uncle, elder, and spiritual brother.
Jacob will also be lovingly remembered by his extended Connecticut family, including the Moores, Nelsons, Fyffes, Binghams, Ridleys, Haynes, and many others.
We eagerly look forward to the time when we will be reunited with Jacob in God's due time.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10:00 am-11:00 am, with the Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am at Kingdom Hall, 29 Wadsworth St., Hartford, CT 06106
