Jacob Norman Beekmann

Jacob Norman Beekmann, of Cloquet, MN, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet at the age of 26.

Born on September 9th, 1999, to Jeffrey and Dianna (Nelson) Beekmann in Duluth, MN, Jacob was raised in Cloquet. He attended Cloquet High School, graduating in 2020. Upon graduating, he attended Floodwood Service and Training.

From a young age, Jacob was a special person. He was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 2 and was told he would only make it to 16. He defied odds and blessed everyone who knew him with those extra 10 years.

Jacob was very outgoing and sociable. He had friends of all ages and had an old soul for a 26-year-old. He loved the outdoors, especially at the family property where he could ride his four-wheeler, or get his wheelchair stuck.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman Nelson and Mary Wiski and Art & Darlene Beekmann.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Jeff and Dianna; uncle, Scott (Lea) Nelson and his family; big brother, Jefferson Darwin (Anita) Beekman and his family; sister, Leah Beekmann and family; uncles, Doug Beekmann and family; aunts, Cynthia Johnson and family, Michelle Beekmann, Crystal (Bill) Lowry and family; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Russ and Linda Savage and Robert and Pam Moen for their special friendship and help throughout the years.

A celebration of Jacob's life will be held on Monday, January 12th, 2026, from 12 noon – 2 pm at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.
