Jacob Patrick Craig, Township of Royalton, age 45, died Monday, April 24, 2023 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1977 in New London, the son of Jock and Patricia (Buchholz) Craig. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School, Manawa Middle School, and graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1996. He attended college at UW-Eau Claire.
He was employed in many industries including Faskell's Gun Shop, Presto Products, and Sturm Foods making many friends out of coworkers.
His hobbies were varied. He was an avid outdoorsman; fishing, hunting and trapshooting while sharing his knowledge with others. He enjoyed riding his Harley on the open roads and through the countryside. Jake was known for his ability to work the room while singing karaoke, enjoyed cribbage and trivia nights. He was griller, fryer and baker willing to try new recipes. He was a successful bargain hunter at thrift stores, garage sales and auctions. He made friends wherever he went.
Jake was a caring friend willing to help out at any time. He chose to register to be an organ donor and in his final act of kindness, part of him will live on in others.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia; sister Amy (Todd) Johnson, special nieces Emma and Audrey. He is further survived by caring aunts and uncles: Karen Buchholz, Fred (Sue) Buchholz, Dr. Roy Buchholz, Paul (Cindy) Buchholz, Debbie Buchholz, Becky (Joe) Woods; cousins: Al (Margie) Buchholz, Tom (Michelle) Buchholz, Jackie (Ken) Van Dyke, Mark (Emily) Buchholz, Kurt Buchholz, Michelle Boelter, Heidi Buchholz, Joe (Sheila) Buchholz, Nicole Woods (Colin Laska), Jessica Woods; and great aunt: Marjorie Buchholz. He is further survived by lifelong friends Jeremy (Amanda) Kluz, CJ (Dana) Micale, numerous hunting companions, trapshooters and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jock Craig, grandparents: Orville and Evelyn Buchholz, Edward and Irene Craig; uncle John Buchholz.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. Visitation will be from 9am-11:15am, service at 11:30am followed by lunch at the Church. His committal will take place at 2pm at Royalton Cemetery.
