Jacob K. Kowalski became an angel too soon on July 3rd 2022 at 14 years old. Jacob passed away from an unknown and possibly genetic illness that is yet to be determined. He was born a fighter at 1 pound 9 oz, and has battled numerous health issues throughout his short life. Jacob was a determined boy and never wanted to be treated differently despite his unique challenges. Jacob loved hockey, and participated in baseball. He loved riding his 4 wheeler, playing Xbox, and making people laugh. He was a very loving boy who always cared about how everyone else was doing and would hug a total stranger. Jacob especially loved his school (St. John Paul II, Menominee MI), from where he had just graduated the 8th grade. He was deeply loved by his parents, Mother Melissa Marie Kowalski and father Michael Gerald Kowalski. Jacob also had a twin brother, (Cyris McClain) and a little brother, Blaiden Kowalski with whom he shared a home. His other siblings: Ryan Kowalski, Brett Kowalski, Traeton McClain, Starr McClain, Sofiya McClain and Kaiden will also miss him tremendously. He had many extended birth and adopted family members who loved him very much.
Jacob's funeral will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Resurrection Church where he attended frequently as a student. Visitation will be from 10:00 until11:30 a.m. with a mass at 11:30 a.m. and a potluck to follow in the pavilion behind the church. Jacob hated dressing up and would have wanted everyone to be comfortable and dressed in casual clothes. Instead of flowers, monetary donations would be appreciated to purchase memorial gifts for siblings and family to remember his life for years to come. We also want to thank everyone who has offered us their thoughts, prayers, meals, monetary support and/or hugs. It all means the world to us after this devastating loss of our beautiful boy.
