Jacob William Miller, age 27, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Jacob was born September 20, 1997, to Justin Kamp and Michelle Miller in Austin. He attended Austin Public Schools. During high school, Jacob worked at Knauers Food Market and was currently employed as a cook at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

Jacob enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including fishing, playing video games-especially RuneScape-and sometimes strumming his guitar. He also had a passion for heavy metal and rock music.

Jacob was a history enthusiast, particularly in World War II and was deeply engaged in political discussions, always advocating for what he believed was right. He was very inquisitive about religion and on occasion attended Cornerstone Church in Austin.

Known for his big heart, Jacob was generous and loved helping others, whether it was giving plants and flowers or treating friends and family to dinner. He also enjoyed good food, especially Red Lobster and Piggy Blues, and loved a good thick steak. Jacob had a special bond with his nephew, Liam, and adored his dogs, Chloe, Freyja, and Diesel.

On his maternal side, Jacob is survived by his mother, Michelle (Tom Williamette) Miller; grandparents, Marlene and Mark Knauer; brothers, Matthew Nemitz and William (fiancee Ava Boser) Francis-Miller; nephew, Liam Francis; aunts, Melissa Knauer and Megan Knauer; uncles, Troy (Jen) Miller and Robert Knauer; and cousins.

On his paternal side, Jacob is survived by his father, Justin (Amy) Kamp; grandmothers, Karen Emery and Betty Bruender; stepsiblings, Ashley (Charles) Branchaud, Whitney (Michael) Cook, Danielle Hinz, Samantha Hinz, Gabriel Bruender, and Heather Deyo; aunts, Tiffany (Lena) Peters, Terri (Ernie Dardar) Olson, and Allysha Corscadden; uncles, Ian Corscadden and Gregg (Valerie) Emery; and many cousins.

He is further survived by his beloved dogs, Chloe, Freyja, and Diesel. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leonard Miller; and paternal grandfather, John Bruender.

A memorial service for Jacob will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
