We are sad to announce the passing of Jacob "Jake" Travis Neal. He died in Woodland Park, Colorado on February 7th, 2024, at 28 years of age from adrenal failure due to complications from Addison's Disease. Jacob was born on May 23rd, 1995 in Conroe, Texas to parents Joe and Denise Neal. Jacob has two siblings, Jessica and Jackson Neal. Jacob attended Colorado Springs Christian School and Woodland Park High School where he played baseball and excelled on the golf team. Following his graduation from High School, Jacob attended University of Colorado, Colorado Springs where he obtained a degree in Biology. Jacob enjoyed skiing, golfing, being with family, spending time with friends, gaming, and reading.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Denise Kuenstler Neal, father, Joseph Franklin Neal, sister, Jessica Elizabeth Neal, and brother, Jackson Joseph Neal.
He is also survived by grandparents Leonard and Betty Kuenstler; his grandmother Barbara Neal; his Uncle Lynn Kuenstler, Aunt Katherine Kuenstler, and cousins Kody, Kate, Kora, Lyndsey Kuenstler; his Uncle Kevin Kuenstler, Aunt Kristi Kuenstler, and cousins Kort and Kole Kuenstler; his Aunt Kara Colby, his Uncle Chris Colby, and cousins Aaron and Landon Colby; his Aunt Tricia Holloway, Uncle Gary Holloway, and cousins Shawn, Brandon, and Trevor Parham; and Uncle John Neal, Aunt Kim Neal, and cousins Katie McQuigg and Mandy Mays.
Jacob is predeceased by Jean D. Neal Jr., Angie Mays, and beloved pets Bear, Beva, Speedy, Bandit, and Elvis.
His memorial service will take place on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, 11AM at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church in Woodland Park, Colorado. The service will be officiated by Father Chance Billmeyer and Deacon Robert Elliott. His Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00pm at Shining Mountain Golf Course in Woodland Park, Colorado.
