Jacob Edward Norman (Jack), passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, in Hudsonville, Michigan. Born to Jacob and Alice Norman, he was a loving husband to his wife, Linda, for 56 years. He was confident in looking forward to his eternity with Christ. As he has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior, Jack will be sorely missed. His laughter, warmth, and unwavering positivity will be cherished memories. Jack was always looking to make others laugh and was known for teasing them at every chance he got.
A dedicated plumber for the majority of his working career, Jack approached his profession with the same cheerful spirit that defined his personality. He was often found doing volunteer plumbing work for the local churches, schools and individuals who needed a hand.
Jack proudly served his country in the Army National Guard, a commitment that reflected his dedication and strong sense of duty. Jack and Linda shared many memorable trips to the Soo Locks where they would watch freighters pass through the locks. He cherished warm afternoons spent running around on his scooter in Georgetown Forest, sharing conversations with anyone willing to pause for a chat. He enjoyed spending summer days for many years at Barlow Lake where he would spend his afternoons floating and watching his grandchildren. Singing at Bowens Mill Chapel on Sundays was a joy as he loved the old hymns. He was a charter member of Georgetown Christian Reformed Church and remained a member there for over 50 years.
Jack is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Randy (Dawn); grandchildren, Allison, Emily, Nathan, and Luke; brother Sid (Jan) Norman; and sister Marie Kuipers. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Scott; parents, Jacob and Alice; sister, Willemetta Hendricks; and his in-laws, Abe and Rolena Van Sweden, who are deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will take place at Georgetown CRC on March 5th, 2026, at 11am with a light lunch to follow. Visitation will begin at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be directed to Youth With A Mission (YWAM) where his granddaughter Emily has grown tremendously in her relationship with the Lord as she attended Discipleship Training School and completed a mission trip to Vietnam. Her next class will begin at the end of March. https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/goywamlouisville
