Jacob Rauch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Meadors Funeral Home - Billings Chapel on Feb. 9, 2026.
Jacob Kyle Rauch, of Springfield, MO, formerly of Billings, MO, passed away into the arms of his loving father in heaven, on February 03, 2026. Jake, as he was lovingly known, was born on July 22, 1987, and was the loving son of William D and Gail Ann Rauch. Jake was raised in Billings, alongside his brother Josh, on the family farm.

Jakes personality shined with everything he did. Be it in the cattle show ring as a child or being the Wildcat mascot at Billings basketball games. He loved going fishing with his son Jackson, who was his pride and joy. Jackson was his greatest love, and spending time with him, was his most cherished thing to do. He loved Jackson beyond measure and made it his top priority to instill in his son the value of hard work, right and wrong and God's love. He enjoyed taking him to the movies, concerts or anything else he could do, just to spend time with him. Jake was a very hard worker himself, always giving 110% to everything he did. Jake put others needs above his own and always make sure to check in on those he loved, making sure they knew how much God loved them. Jake was a prayer warrior and one who always took the opportunity to share God's love with anyone who would give him an ear. Jackson shared a time when he and his dad were out driving and Jake said he felt the need to stop at a hospital, not because he was feeling ill, but he was being compelled to. He went into the waiting room and struck up a conversation with a preacher, who had been propelled to do the exact same thing that Jake had done. Both men felt that they were experiencing God's hands at work… and this was something that Jake said often. Jake loved God, living his life by many different scriptures, but Ephesians 6:10-18 speaks about putting on the Armor of God, and Jake did, in everything he did. "What's crazy is even though how much I love you cannot be compared to God's radical unconditional extreme love He has for you" ….Love Jake

He is survived by his son, Jackson Rauch, his mother Ann Rauch, brother Josh Rauch as well as a host of extended family and countless friends who love him unconditionally.

He is preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Rauch.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Billings (101 N.E. Pine). There will be no formal services for Jake, and at his request, he will be cremated. Services are under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.meadorsfuneralhome.com

We´re so sorry to hear about Jake. He was always so sweet, kind, and patient to us. We chatted a few times as we live
in Rivercut. He cared about us, something you don´t often come across. Our prayers and sympathy to you at this such sad time. Eric and Alice Nelson

Jake was a friend to our (Rivercut) community and our family is so grateful for him. I always enjoyed our exchanges, talking about his fishing tournaments and hearing about the pride he had in his son. Our prayers will be with the family during this time of loss. May God be so very near.
