Jacob Rippke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coyle Funeral and Cremation Services - Toledo on Dec. 10, 2025.
Jacob Rippke, 41, passed away on December 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering reliability. Born and raised in Maumee, Jacob graduated from Maumee High School and later from Penta Career Center in 2003, where he began building the strong foundation that would shape his life and work.

Jacob was dedicated and hardworking, spending nearly twenty years with Splendor, where his consistency and dependability earned him the nickname "Steady Eddy Jake." He took great pride in his work and was known for always showing up-punctual, reliable, and ready to help wherever he was needed.

A man of many interests, Jacob was an avid video gamer and collector, a devoted Buffalo Bills and Ohio State football fan, and someone who loved camping and spending time outdoors. He treasured time with his nieces and nephew and was lovingly known as the family "Fire Starter," always sparking fun and laughter during family gatherings. Jake loved dogs, and the family pets were excited to see him whenever he visited.

Though shy and quiet, Jacob had a deeply generous nature. He was selfless, kind, and the type of person who would help anyone, anytime. His gentle spirit left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Jacob is survived by his parents Keith and Julie Rippke; brothers Jeremy Rippke (Kristina Shokri) and Justin Rippke (Dr. Mackenzie Shindorf); and his nieces and nephew-Miah, Lily, Sage, Owen, and one more little one on the way. They will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo. A Funeral Mass will begin at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway St., Maumee on Monday, December 15 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to support ALS research.
