Jacob Daniel Stroope, 43, a gentle, kind, and loving soul with a huge heart, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

He was born in Borger, TX in January 1982, and resided with his loved ones in Amarillo, TX. Jacob was known for his incredibly sweet nature and boundless affection for his family. He had a profound love for his mother, Rosalind Price, and cherished the time they spent together, often enjoying shopping trips and simply savoring each other’s company. He also adored his two nephews, Alexander and Garrick White. Jacob made sure to create beautiful memories with them, often playing video games, buying kites and toys, and taking them to the park on weekends for quality time. He loved his family very much and was always happiest when he was with them.

A man of passion, Jacob excelled in the culinary arts. He took immense pride in his cooking, particularly his signature barbeque sauce, a recipe he created with dedication and care. The special seasoning within it, lovingly named “the essence of Jake,” will be passed down as a treasured family recipe, ensuring a part of his spirit remains at every family gathering. Jacob is now at peace, and his kind heart is known to the Lord.

Jacob is survived by his beloved mother and stepfather, Rosalind and Dale Price; his sister and brother-in-law, Rashell and Michael White; and his cherished nephews, Alexander White and Garrick White. He is also survived by his aunts, Karen Berg and Cynthia Fisher, and many cousins who held a special place in his life.

Jacob was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Stroope; his grandparents, Ped and Joyce Stroope, and Billy and Beverly Gillman; and his grandparents, Jane and Tom Moser.

The family finds comfort in the Bible’s sure promise of a future reunion, as stated at John 5:28, 29: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…”
