Jacobo was born on December 28, 1932 and passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017. Jacobo was a resident of Sanford, Florida at the time of passing. It is very difficult during these times not to dwell on the enormous loss our family has suffered. I would like to reflect on the great fortune we have had. Although individual pursuits have lead us in different directions, at the core I draw strength from some of the fondest memories of my youth when I spent time with my family in Staten Island; my cousins who are like siblings. I reflect on the happy times and the memory of a man who always had the strength to see the positive in life and the good in all; the silver lining. Through humor and levity, he always provided an environment of happiness and hope. He was secure in the knowledge that things could and would always improve. He was always proud of his beautiful family and had complete confidence that through his example of hope and good will, life would always be good. He will always live in our hearts, and, in the smiles of his children and grandchildren, we will reflect on his legacy. He will forever live in our memories until, as is the promise of our faith, we will unite in a place where there will forever be peace and love. Rest in peace, Jacobo Del Valle.
