Jacque Labovitz, 81, passed away on December 10, 2025.
Jacque is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta “Bobbi” Labovitz of Olney, Maryland; his son, Michael Labovitz (Lilah) of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; and his daughter, Michelle Labovitz (Jon Serino) of Olney, Maryland. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Ethan and Abigail. Jacque is also survived by his brother, Mordecai “Mort” Labovitz of Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members. He was predeceased by his sister, Rascha Hall.
Jacque was a veteran, having served as a medic in the U.S. Army, and spent his professional career working for the federal government, including positions at the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Treasury Department. Jacque loved to read, had a deep affection for animals, and could often be found watching the news. He was known for his jokes and clever puns, and for his remarkable ability to make new friends everywhere he went, always striking up conversations with strangers and leaving them smiling. Above all else, his greatest devotion was to his family, whom he loved deeply and cherished always.
A graveside service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Judean Memorial Gardens.
