Jacqueline Ann Althoff (nee Fak), age 85 passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 in La Crosse. She was born September 3, 1938 in Bellview, Illinois and was a graduate of Aquinas High School in La Crosse. She went on to earn a degree in nursing at Western Technical College and worked for over 15 years at St. Francis Medical Center in the newborn center.
She loved babies, flowers, puzzles, her cat “Max”, big band music, old movies and enjoyed cooking and canning.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 66 years, Henry Althoff, children, Angela McNew, Christina (Joe) Montalvo, Mary (Craig) Comeau, Henry (Tina) Althoff IV and Theresa (Wayne) Grewal-Bradley, fifteen grandchildren and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Jean Althoff and Betty Althoff and brother-in-law Arnold Hunt and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Sam McKillip.
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 AM, Friday July 19, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 13th Street South, La Crosse. Family and friends may gather for a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take following the service at Catholic Cemetery of La Crosse.
