Jacqueline S. Hattery, age 80, born on September 29, 1945, departed this life on October 25, 2025, in North Webster, Indiana. A beloved mother, sister, and friend, Jacqueline's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her. Jacqueline married Walter Hattery on July 27, 1963 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Walter Hattery of North Webster; her children, Scott (Deb) Hattery of Syracuse and Chris (Kim) Hattery of Leesburg. Jacqueline took great pride in her role as a mother and deeply loved her children. Her dedication extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bringing great joy to her life; she was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, each of whom carried a piece of her legacy. Jacqueline was also a loving sister.
She is survived by her brother, Jim (Charlene) Pool of Angola, along with her sister-in-law, Jan Pool, who fondly remembers the joys and memories they shared. In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind the Heche and Stewart families, who were part of her extended family, each person touched by her warmth and kindness. Her parents, Lester and Marjorie (Malcom) Pool, and her son Shawn Hattery, as well as her brother Bill Pool, preceded her in death, reminding those left behind that while life can be heart-wrenching, the love shared with family endures beyond the mortal realm.
Her legacy of love, dedication, and compassion will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. Jacqueline will be remembered as a vibrant soul who deeply impacted the lives of many, both personally and professionally.
