Jackie was born on May 13, 1936, in Frederic, Michigan to Henry Laughton and Marion (Thurston) Laughton and grew up in Midland, Michigan. Jackie and Horace Eugene Jasman were married in 1955 in Midland, Michigan and had four children. She started her working life at the Dow Chemical Company before her children were born. Beyond her professional life, Jackie found immense joy in her family and home. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even her great-great-grandchild. Jackie's home in Bath, Michigan was a source of pride-one she lovingly maintained for over 64 years. She also found great strength in her Christian faith which carried her through the hardships in life she encountered.
Jackie is survived by: her children, Mary-Jean Goebel of Bath, Michigan, Angela Jasman-Jackson of Clayton, Ohio, and Frank Jasman of Plant City, Florida. She had eight grandchildren, Kristi, Alicia, Wendy, Miranda, Bonnie, Andy, Alex, and Michael; as well as twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
