Jacqueline R. Nachreiner
November 24, 1945 - July 4, 2025
SPRING GREEN - Jacqueline R. Nachreiner, 79, of Spring Green, died on July 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Although PSP affected her later years, it never defined her. Jackie will be remembered for her integrity, courage, grace, kindness, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.
Jackie was born in Dodgeville on November 24, 1945, the daughter of Raymond and Elsie (Wagner) Oleson. She graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1963. In 1966, she married James W. O'Neill, and together they had two sons, Sean and James B. In 1985, she married Gary Nachreiner, welcoming his son Daryl into her life, and later celebrating the birth of their son, Scott. Jackie and Gary would have marked 40 years of marriage on July 12th.
Jackie spent most of her career in the banking industry, working at the Bank of Spring Green (later Valley Bank, M&I, and BMO Harris). A lifelong learner and avid reader, she especially enjoyed autobiographies. She cherished time with her friends in card club, tending her flower gardens, and being an active member of St. John's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving husband and devoted caregiver, Gary; her sons, Sean O'Neill and Jim (Molli) O'Neill, Daryl Nachreiner and Scott Nachreiner; and grandchildren, Taylor, Sam, Liz, and Esme O'Neill. She is also survived by her sister, Rita (Pat) Riley; sister-in-law, Sandy (Tom) Ingram, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved Wagner cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elsie Oleson, father and mothers-in-law, Harold Nachreiner, Zita Nachreiner and Norma Nachreiner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Spring Green. Burial will follow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m., until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers and plants, donations may be made to causes dear to her, including St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Smile Train, Camp Hope, or Cure PSP. The family would also like to thank Greenway Manor and the therapy department for their care.
