Jacqueline Rabinow Obituary

Jacqueline Salzberg Rabinow, 95, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 1, 2024. She is survived by her son, Scott, and her daughter, Diane, and now joins her husband, David, who passed away in 1999. She was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in the northeastern United States until settling in Maryland in 1961, where she remained until her death.
Jackie was beloved by two younger sisters, Gloria and Phyllis, several nieces and nephews, and the many friends she made during her long life. Jackie never realized her dream of becoming an engineer; instead working as a secretary, bookkeeper, and school teacher. She worked tirelessly at each job, earning accolades and awards as an elementary and middle school teacher in Montgomery County, MD. She retired from teaching in 1990.
In 1992, Jackie and David moved to Leisure World of Maryland in Silver Spring. Both became active in the community, with Jackie eventually serving as President of Mutual 14 and on the Leisure World Board of Directors.
A graveside service will be held at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries in Paramus, NJ, on Sunday, August 18, at 2pm ET as her ashes are buried next to her beloved husband, David.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
