Jacqueline Andrea Williams-Bey

Jacqueline Andrea Williams-Bey, 69, entered into her eternal resting place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was born on January 15, 1956, in Hartford, CT, to the late Angelina (Andrade) and Samuel Williams-Bey.
Jacqueline attended Hartford Public Schools, graduating from Weaver High School, Class of 1974, ranking in the top 10 of her class.
Known affectionately as Jackie by friends and family, she began her early years of employment at The Original Peanut Shop in Downtown Hartford, CT, and held an array of other positions, including Part-Time Employee at The Hartford Civic Center Box Office and Bookkeeper for Community Health Services of Hartford, Upper Albany Avenue. She later retired from Anderson Laboratories of Bloomfield, CT, where she worked as an Accountant for over 20 years.
Her legacy continues through her beloved son, Damion Williams-Bey of Hartford, CT, and six siblings: Fliesmina "MiMi" Jackson, Rosalyn "RaRa" Williams-Bey, Renee Gaston (Leonard), Lorrie Williams-Bey Hugley (Gabriel), Mia Williams-Bey Schand (Mark), and Salam Williams-Bey (Deborah).
Alongside her family, she is fondly remembered by her devoted lifelong friend, Lisa West of California, who is also the godmother of her son, Damion; her cousin, Debbie of Wareham, MA; and dear friends Dara, Tracey, Brenda, and Chris of Bridgeport, CT. She shared a special bond with her godchildren-her godson, Aaron West Jr. of California, and her two cherished goddaughters, Kyea Bostick and Suni Monique Williams-Bey. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A true sports enthusiast, Jackie's favorite basketball team was the Boston Celtics. She and her son Damion shared a playful rivalry, often cheering for whichever team he didn't, just to keep things fun. She also enjoyed tennis and golf, which suited her calm and easygoing spirit.
At noon each day, she tuned in to Channel 3 Eyewitness News for her daily updates, followed by her longtime favorite soap opera, The Young & The Restless. Music was another of her joys-her favorite songs often filled the house as she danced and celebrated in her own lively way.
She had a special gift for connecting with people, often sharing insights about them that left you wondering how she knew. If she had your phone number, you could expect a call full of questions-and once she got her updates, she'd hang up with a smile. Her laid-back, humble personality made those she loved feel truly special.
She was predeceased by her brother, Dexter Williams-Bey; her two loving sisters, Jennifer Williams-Bey and Yvonne Groves; and a lifelong friend, Kramer Wakefield.
Affectionately known as Ma, Jackie, Jacka Lack, Jack Sprat, and Auntie Jackie, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
